What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is an act that holds the attention and interest of a crowd. It can also be an activity that gives pleasure and delight. It may be an idea or a task, but it is more likely to be one of the many activities that have developed over thousands of years specifically for the purpose of keeping an audience’s attention. It comes from the Medieval Latin intertenere, based on the Indo-European root ten, meaning to hold inside. It can also be a way to make money. Some examples of Entertaiment are murders, backstabbing and other themes that hit on what the brain was evolved to react to deeply in order to understand the world we live in.
